Kicking off the official 100th anniversary show, Opry star Ricky Skaggs played "Tennessee Wagoner" on Uncle Jimmy Thompson’s fiddle—honoring the legacy that sparked what would become the Grand Ole Opry. Ricky Skaggs played the exact first sounds that were made on the Grand Ole Opry, 100 years ago that same night, Nov. 28, in 1925 by Uncle Jimmy Thompson, and honored the historic occasion by wearing a suit from the period.
